HOOVER STUDENTS BREAK THE CODE

In partnership with the local Pi515 organization, Hoover students are being taught the skills and mindsets needed for success in the tech world.  Once a week, nearly 30 students participate in programming that exposes them to coding, innovation and creative thinking.  Students are supported by Pi515 staff, as well as an undergraduate student from Central College and other volunteers.  Over the course of the school year, these students will learn enough HTML coding language to create their own personalized website.  And, upon successful completion of the program, each student is rewarded with a free laptop computer.  You can learn more about Pi515 at www.pursuitofinnovation.org .
