Thanks to the great work of everyone at Hoover High School and Meredith Middle School, we have been official authorized as IB World Schools, and will be offering the International Baccalaureate’s Middle Years Programs for students in grades 6-10. Hoover High School graduate, Michael Turner, was selected as a TOP 5 nominee in the 60 Second Original Promo category for his entry entitled “Hip Hop Hour.” His promo was screened in Chicago by a panel of judges and he was awarded with a $1000 scholarship to North Central College. Hoover has been listed on the Iowa AP Index, created by the University of Iowa’s Belin-Blank Center, six of the past seven years. This year Hoover earned our top ranking ever, coming in as the 12th best school in Iowa for providing students with Advanced Placement course. Click the headline to read more about our success.

Hoover freshman participated in the inaugural Freshman Seminar Career Fair  on Tuesday, May 6. More than 25 community representatives were present at the fair to answer student questions and prompt students to consider what actions they are taking …
