Freshman Seminar Career Fair

Hoover freshman participated in the inaugural Freshman Seminar Career Fair  on Tuesday, May 6. More than 25 community representatives were present at the fair to answer student questions and prompt students to consider what actions they are taking now and in the immediate future to prepare for a career in their desired field. Ninth grade students are enrolled in a Seminar course that supports students in the transition to high school and includes content such as career and post-secondary exploration. After students investigated career and post-secondary interests in Freshman Seminar this spring, they worked together to determine which careers they wanted represented at the fair. Students shared resumes, personal statements, and inquired into how they could best prepare for a career of their interest. Thank you to the career representatives who supported Hoover students as they explore and plan for their future.
