Last year, Hoover was one of four schools to receive grants from the Governor’s STEM Advisory Council. This year Hoover’s STEM Academy puts the grant to use: a brand new classroom-of-the-future where students learn and collaborate on a range of lessons and projects. On Sunday, August 10th, Hoover welcomed back the Class of 1994 for a reunion tour of the facilities. Hoover has changed a lot in the last 20 years!

Hoover High School graduate, Michael Turner, was selected as a TOP 5 nominee in the 60 Second Original Promo category for his entry entitled “Hip Hop Hour.” His promo was screened in Chicago by a panel of judges and he was awarded with a $1000 scholarship to North Central College.
