Hoover North Esports is a DMPS student-led organization that exposes students to the field of competitive video gaming. Some games that have a competitive Esports scenes are League of Legends, Valorant, Overwatch, and Rocket League. While our club does include the word “Esports” in the title, we support and encourage both casual and competitive play.

Esports is an umbrella term that is equivalent to the word “sports”, where each different game is a different type of “sport”. Players in teams practice and scrim against other high school teams across the nation and play in tournaments in the High School Esports League and PlayVS. The organization welcomes students of all backgrounds from new to experienced with tryouts for competitive opportunities. There are two seasons every year, Fall and Spring.
