Academic Decathlon is a contest of Academic strength.  It provides students of all learning levels the opportunity to excel academically through team competition. Every year a new topic is presented nationally and the students study information about this topic in the categories of language arts, social studies, art, science, economics, and other core categories. As a team, the members collectively compete with schools in the region by testing and earning points.

Academic Decathlon is an academic team activity that involves taking tests, interviewing, giving a speech, and writing an essay! The team studies and reviews information on the main topic as designated by USAD every year. The team consists of students of all GPA’s and backgrounds. All students are welcome!  The competitions start the third week of January and the state competition is the first weekend of March.
