Learning Model Selection Form: Information for Parents and Students

HOOVER FAMILIES AND STUDENTS :

Recently you received an email from Des Moines Public School outlining our Return to Learn Plan that will bring students back to Hoover in a hybrid form OR allow them to remain fully virtual.  If you have already completed this form, thank you in advance!  If you have not completed the form, please do so as soon as possible.  Your completion of the form will determine next steps for Hoover as we prepare to serve our students and community.

DESCRIPTIONS OF LEARNING MODELS:

FULLY VIRTUAL: The 100% online learning option, similar to how DMPS began this school year, will continue to be available to all students across all grade levels. Students will be enrolled both at their home school for activities and served instructionally through Virtual Campus.

HYBRID: A hybrid model, consisting of 2-3 days of in-person instruction each week, will also be offered under this updated plan. Students would be assigned to either an A or B group. The A group would attend school on Monday and Tuesday, the B group would attend school on Thursday and Friday, and Wednesdays would alternate between the two groups.While they are not at Hoover, students will be working virtually to continue their learning.  Masks will be required to attend in person instruction and while we will do our best to adhere to CDC guidelines, we cannot guarantee social distancing.
