HOOVER ACADEMIC DECATHLON COMPETES AT STATE

Last weekend, Hoover’s Academic Decathlon team participated at the State AcDec competition in Spirit Lake, Iowa.  Along with 23 other teams from around the state, Hoover’s team took part in ten different events, including:  essay writing, speech, interview, and 7 different subject area exams.  The team increased their state ranking by two spots compared to their finish at the Regional competition in January.  In addition, senior Nejla Memic won a silver medal in the interview event.
