Second Semester & SRO Survey

We are asking families to commit to a  learning model – either fully virtual or in–person – for their student(s) for  the entire second semester. For example, the in-person learning model may be hybrid, such as we briefly did this Fall, or it could be full-time if health conditions significantly improve.

We acknowledge that this is a difficult decision for families as future health conditions in Polk County are unsure and changing every day.

However, this is critical so we can plan multiple scenarios in the remainder of the year.

In addition, DMPS is asking families in grades 6-12 to share their perspectives on school resource officers (SRO) and the role of police within DMPS. There will be a few questions at the end of the learning model selection form for you to provide input that will help shape our future plans relating to the role of school resource officers.

The  form for families to make their learning model selection (and for grades 6-12 families to complete the SRO survey) will be open from November 23 to December 4. To complete the selection form, you will be asked to log in with your student’s primary household’s phone number as listed in Infinite Campus.
