Ferdinand Alobo has come a long way from his home country to Des Moines, Iowa. As many of our refugee students can attest, the road isn’t always smooth. Hoover Students Mark Universal Children’s Day

Hoover students put on their school colors Tuesday and visited three Des Moines elementary schools in honor of Universal Children’s Day. The day was established by the United Nations in 1954 to promote international togetherness and improve children’s welfare.
