Husky Puppuccino

The students in Mrs. Kinch’s Adult Living Transitions classes are working on 21st Century Living Skills including money management, starting and completing tasks, teamwork, and other employability skills.  We decided a fun way to complete this would be to start a coffee shop.  The students named it the “Husky Puppuccino.”  We offer hot drinks such as cappuccino, coffee, hot tea and apple cider every Friday during first block to staff members.  Students put order forms in the teachers’ mailboxes and collect them the day before delivery.  The students brew the drinks and then deliver them to the staff members while practicing customer service skills.  The team comes together after all deliveries are complete to count money and fill out the count report and receipt.  The students have really enjoyed this experience and say they don’t realize they are learning since they are having so much fun.
