New Name, New Focus

This spring the Hoover Real World Design Challenge team changed its name and its focus. It is now the Aerospace Design Club, and the focus has been on how things fly and what can we do to make them more efficient. With help from the Des Moines Modelairs the team has built rubber band aircraft, gliders, and a Remote control Aircraft. Other activities have been learning to fly planes and Remote control aircraft using simulators, and flying a remote control helicopter. On Saturday May 18th members of the team meet at the Elkhart airfield to fly the plane that the team built. The plane did loose contact with the ground team and crashed, but the Des Moines Modelairs used one of their other trainers to give the students the opportunity to fly the plane.
