Hoover Academic Decathlon Competes At State

On March 1-2, the Hoover Academic Decathlon team competed at the State competition in Mount Vernon, Ia.  The team placed fourth in the oral SuperQuiz, and team member Dzana Memic was awarded a bronze medal for her interview.  Academic Decathlon is an internationally recognized competition organized around seven subject areas (music, art, economics, math, literature, science and social studies) and three skill-based events (speech, interview and essay writing).
