Skilled Trades Career Exploring Post

Hoover students meet every other week with Des Moines’s successful president of Lumberman’s Drywall & Roofing Company, Gary Scrutchfield.  Taking part in Hoover’s new Skilled Trades Career Exploring Post, these students are taken under his wing as he provides several home building demonstrations and has brought in several skilled trades professionals to meet and speak to our students.  Photographed is Gary coaching the team as they build a cross-section of a home for this year’s project.
